Check back often for new upcoming events.
Rebound Basics is a fun half-day of sharing in the joy of REBOUND and gaining confidence in your ability to JUMP IN! Whether you are experienced or new, this half-day is for you. You will get boots-on time learning proper execution of the basic moves…and maybe a few advanced moves too. You will learn some about the music we use and how we build the class.
We will participate in a high energy, low impact class and you will get more information on health and well-being. You will learn about the boots and the different brands available. You will get to hang with amazing people and be a part of a network of Rebounders and fitness enthusiast, all working together to encourage and support you. You will have fun, expand your skills, and make your next Rebound class that more enjoyable.
There will also be a few surprises.
Participants completing the Rebound Basics Course will receive 4 AFAA continuing education units (CEUs) and 0.4 NASM continuing education credits (CEUs).
Instructor Preparation is the second half of the day. If you have EVER considered what it would be like to be a group fitness instructor for REBOUND or any other fitness formats; or if you currently teach and want to expand and fine tune your skills and gain some important CEUs in the process…Stay for Part II.
This program was developed because I have taken some outstanding certs and some not so outstanding certs. It is always fun to learn and expand skills. In speaking with people who have considered teaching or who teach now, they want to try something new but don’t want to spend hundreds of scarce dollars on a high cost programs to do it— If you ever considered teaching but don’t think you are ready, don’t think you can do it, or are not sure you want to invest large sums of cash… This program is for you!
Instructor Preparation – The second half of the day, is where you will discover what makes a quality and skilled instructor. While you will expand your Rebound knowledge, you will also dive into music, counts, and transitions, skills that translate to all group fitness. Learn the proper execution of cueing; the dreaded microphone – what, when, and how to use it properly. How do you speak, move, and anticipate what’s next? We will be hands-on in each skill and learn new ways to motivate, encourage and teach.
You will teach — try it all on for size, kick the tires, get better at what you know and consider moving forward for licensing in an array of quality programs available, and let’s be honest, if you, like me, need to acquire CEUs to maintain and renew your AFAA Certification — this is a really fun, informational, practical, and cost-effective way to get them.
I like to think of this program as the pre-med or pre-law of group fitness instruction. Prep with us and be ready for anything.
Participants completing the Instructor Preparation Course (includes required Rebound Basics Course) will receive 8 AFAA continuing education units (CEUs) and 0.8 NASM continuing education credits (CEUs).
