Kelly Shelton is a well-known and well-respected fitness professional in the Northern Virginia / DC area.  I was so pleased to be able to have a conversation with Kelly as she was and continues to be a mentor to me, allowed me to see my potential and encouraged me….as she does for many, to pursue big goals.

Kelly’s journey from athlete, intern, instructor, group fitness director, and now Gold’s Gym ETC General Manager, has shown her tenancy, courage, and talent.  Kelly has continued to expand her knowledge and expertise in different fitness formats and education and certifications.

You will learn more about Kelly’s journey into Drishti Beats Yoga here.  Since the taping of this conversation, Kelly has earned her  RYT 500-hour advanced training certification and continues to inspire.

Drishti Yoga 500 RYT

Kelly’s education and certifications include:

BS Exercise Science, AFAA Group Fitness Instructor; NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist;

Drishti Yoga 500 RYT; CXWORX, Insanity, Barre, DISW, Moi Cycle and SPRINT.

Kelly is very special to me and I am grateful to her for her kindness, her selflessness with me and so many others, her spirit and her genuine joy for what she does, and the impact she has had on so many people.

Just a few pieces of wisdom from Kelly include: being kind to yourself, start where you are, and understand your “why.”  Most importantly and a true testament to who Kelly is, she said, “I don’t think you are a good leader if you don’t share what you know with others.”  We are so happy you live by that rule Kelly, and appreciate you sharing your knowledge, skills, and talent with the rest of us.

Thank you Kelly, for being open, honest and genuine; sharing a bit of yourself with us through this Live and Learn conversation.

You can join Kelly for class at Gold’s Gym Elite Training Center (ETC) in Woodbridge, VA,

Live and Learn is a production of KAMS Lifestyle, LLC.
