Tonight, it’s all about the pear. 🍐🍐🍐

My fabulous friend presented me with a yummy birthday present…12 months of fruit and cheese…how cool is that?  December is pears and blue cheese; so needed to find some fun recipes..found three – all are Simply Yum.

First…lunch was a pear/ginger Smoothie from Recipe Runner.  Unsweetened almond milk, spinach, frozen pears, Greek yogurt, almond butter, honey, ginger and vanilla.  I amended it a little adding a lot more ginger and some ice.🍐🍐

Second…Feta, Kale & Pear Salad (I changed out the Feta for Blue) from Eating Well.  Along with the obvious Kale , there is red onion, fresh mint, pears, roasted sesame seeds, pine nuts and sunflower seeds and a dressing made from Greek yogurt, tahini, lemon juice and cider vinegar.  I amended this a bit as well.  Added a lot more lemon juice to the dressing and added those mini sweet peppers i had left from last week. 🥗

Third…Pear Oatmeal Bars from Happy Healthy Mama.  This was quite simple…pears, apple sauce, vanilla, almond butter, cinnamon, ginger, oat flour, rolled oats, baking powder and clove ( I left out the clove). So good. 🍐

Finally, the water…gotta do a fresh batch of water.  This one has cucumber, lemon, lime, ginger, orange and grapefruit. The cranberries are just for “pretty.”

Set for the week and now can get to wrapping, mailing, planning, and working. Busy, busy, busy. 🌲🎁

BUT…within the busy…make room for you, your wellness and peace of mind…sometimes, reaching out to someone else is just what you need to center yourself.
